I. Open Access Statement
Modern Transportation and Metallurgical Materials flipped to an open access journal starting from issue 3 of 2026 (May 2026). All articles are made available on the journal’s official website immediately upon publication and are permanently accessible to all users free of charge.
In addition, all articles published from the journal’s launch in July 2021 through issue 2 of 2026 (March 2026) have been retrospectively flipped to open access and are freely available to all users on the journal’s official website.
II. Open License Policy
All open access articles published in this journal use the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. This license allows users to copy, distribute, and use the open access articles in the journal in any medium or format, provided that they follow the terms of the license, including:
1. When copying or distributing the open access articles in the journal, users must provide appropriate attribution, include a link to the license, and indicate if any changes have been made to the original work.
2. Attribution may be done in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the journal endorses the use.
3. The articles cannot be used for commercial purposes.
4. If the articles are remixed, transformed, or built upon, the modified articles cannot be distributed.

III. Copyright Policy
Authors are required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement. Upon publication in Modern Transportation and Metallurgical Materials, the copyright of the article, including but not limited to the rights of reproduction, distribution, information network dissemination, translation, and compilation, shall be transferred worldwide and free of charge to the editorial department of Modern Transportation and Metallurgical Materials.
Authors may nevertheless continue to use their articles under the following circumstances: patent applications; academic reports and presentations; non-commercial academic communication; depositing the electronic version of the article on the personal or institutional website of the author; quoting parts of the article or figures/tables in subsequent works; using the article in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license; and other activities permitted and authorized by the editorial department.
IV. Article Archiving Policy
All articles published since the journal’s launch (July 2021) have been digitally archived, and full texts are available for download on the journal website. To ensure data security, all information and related materials are archived by the editorial department.
In addition to the journal’s official website, articles previously published in the journal have also been fully archived in databases such as CNKI and Wanfang Data. Readers may also access the journal’s articles online through these databases and platforms.
V. Author Self-Archiving
The journal permits authors to deposit all versions of their articles in institutional or other repositories of their choice, provided that the repository clearly indicates that the article was originally published in Modern Transportation and Metallurgical Materials.
